A Quick Analysis of the Votes of Luis Martinez for OSMTJ Grand Master
Election of Luis Martinez "Won" with only 2 Original OSMTJ Votes
The election of Luis Martinez was initiated by the expelled Chancellor, without the authority of the Magistral Council, and only contained 3 votes of legitimate, original OSMTJ Grand Priories.
After the expulsion of the former GC in Feb. 2022, he called for an election in the OSMTJ. Not only does an expelled member have no authority in the OSMTJ, but without the consent of the Grand Priors of the OSMTJ, or any members of the Magistral Council, and with GM Mangum having only served 2 of his 10-year term according to the Statutes, this election is utterly illegal.
Furthermore, its actual voting is fraudulent. Bryant Jones, having no International backing, even losing his own USA Priory after his expulsion, recruited random people from Templar fan pages online and on Facebook and called them "Grand Priors" to be eligible to vote. The vast majority of these had zero knights in them.
This method garnered him 22 "Grand Priories."
Of this 22, only 10 requested to vote.
Of the 10 votes, only 3 were original OSMTJ.
The results were 6 - Martinez, 1 - Matta, 1 Invalid, 2 Abstained.
Of these 6 to Martinez, 1 was Martinez voting for himself, and 1 was a surrogate for Jones.
Of those 3 Original OSMTJ, 1 (Matta) voted for himself for Grandmaster, leaving 2 Original OSMTJ remaining.
Therefore, of the 10 eligible votes, only 4/10 went to Martinez that were not Martinez himself or Jones.
Of those 4 votes to Martinez, only 2 original OSMTJ are possible.
Since 2 votes abstained and 1 was invalid, it is probable that Martinez was elected without a single true OSMTJ vote.
The best case scenario is that Martinez won an illegal election with only 2 original OSMTJ votes (out of the 40+ original legitimate OSMTJ nations.)
This election is simply a failed coup by an expelled member and shall not be recognized by the International Templar community.
Ronald Mangum remains the legitimate Grand Master of the OSMTJ, holding 40+ National Entities across the world.
